a cliche! - looking at the idea of beauty as an object, the idea that real beauty doesn't exist anymore. broken down into the main concepts/ ideas that i feel have destroyed beauty or that i feel beauty has become.
a commentary on how society and consumerism effect real aspects of our reality. the idea that real, interpretable things, become defined and controlled. destroyed at their core and rebuilt into a fixed concept that people are forced to strive for - natural qualities become manufactured and thus unobtainable!
this effects youth, effects emotional instabilities, effects and provokes insecurities, even creating new insecurities. this new, built concept of beauty - is in fact ugly. contradiction.
juxtapose, with ugly images that represent the main ideas; shown in an aesthetically appealing way? finding the beauty within the ugly, to show how it should be.
