perceptions of what is beautiful.

i've been doing a lot of research into perceptions of beauty today, found some really interesting stuff.

an interesting article i found was titled 'behold, the most beautiful woman in the world' - using photoshop and blurring techniques a computer-generated image of the 'perfect woman' has been created using various striking female celebrities features.

'This bland and blurry woman is the computer-generated composite of Angelina Jolie, Anne Hathaway, Charlize Theron, Elizabeth Cuthbert, Hilary Duff (?), Jennifer Love Hewitt. Jessica Alba, Jennifer Biel, Kiera Knightly, Kate Bosworth, Kristin Kreuk, Mandy Moore, Megan Fox, Monica Belluci, Natalie Portman, and Scarlett Johansson.'

it is interesting to see the range of people chosen and also how negative the blurb seems to be? - one of the tags was 'unrealistic beauty standards' definitely going to explore what else i can find from that.
